    What is Pulsed Magnetic Therapy?

Pulsed electro magnetic field (PEMF) therapy research has been conducted world-wide for over 5 decades. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy research proves routine neurological, physiological and psychological repair. When the frequency is spot-on, absolutely NOTHING compares, not far infrared, not laser, not ultra sound. PEMF Research has repeatedly proven BETTER physiological repair in FAR less time than any other type of care while indicating absolutely no adverse reactions.

Quite simply, Pulsed Magnetic therapy makes use of pulsed electromagentic frequency to "tune up" the bodies own electromagnetic field and thus assist cell regeneration and healing.

    What is Electromagnetism?

The interaction of electrical and magnetic effect is known as electromagnetism. Electromagnetism is one of the most important concepts in physical science. An electromagnet consists of a piece of soft iron with electrical wire wrapped around it. When an electric current flows through the wire, it produces a magnetic field around the wire and the iron is magnetized. The greater the current, the stronger the magnetic field. By coiling up the wire many times, the magnetic field produced can be made even stronger.

What is the difference between regular magnets and PEMF?

Our body's natural magnetic field is created by the flow of electrically charged ions in and out of cells and the transmission of electric impulses through cell membranes. Only Pulsing ElectroMagnetic Field (PEMF) force and not static magnets can influence on a cellular level. The magnetic strength value of static magnets (expressed in Gauss value) is not relevant at all, since the measured field strengths of permanent magnets range from 300 gauss to 16000 gauss at the surface, at 2 cm distance around 10 gauss and at 10 cm distance; absolutely nothing. In addition static magnets cannot create any electrical induction at all without being mechanically moved the whole time!

    What is the Impulse 4000?

The Impulse 4000 is a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) device producing magnetic nanopulses (pulses at nanosecond duration), from 1 pulse per second to 5 pulses per second maximum and used to deliver safe, low frequency pulsing magnetic field therapy.

What exactly does Impulse 4000 do?

Our device emits mild electrical magnetic pulses (similar to the electrical pulses that exist in your body) to trigger your nervous system. The magnetic pulse in turn stimulates a change in nerve signals which often results in the reduction of pain and an increase in healing signals.

Magnetic Pulsed Therapy is unique because it interacts with your body's own natural healing processes. It stimulates your nervous system to begin healing the affected areas of your body, in turn reducing pain and restoring normal function.
Treatment with Impulse 4000 is a non invasive and extremely gentle (it works through your skin), making it suitable to treat problems anywhere in the body.

Who can be treated with Impulse 4000?

Treatment can be undertaken by just about anyone. We would recommend that treatment not be undertaken if you are pregnant, or for very small children and babies.

What does treatment with Impulse 4000 entail?

As a patient, when you see a practitioner the first time you will discuss your pain concerns, the practitioner will review your health questionaire and take clinical notes, and after assessment treat you with the Impulse 4000.

It is not necessary for the practitioner to be present for the full duration of the treatment, however monitoring during the treatment is encouraged. In some cases you may feel worse after the treatment. This is nothing to be alarmed about – it is a good sign! It indicates that your body is responding quickly and a change is occurring.

Are there any side effects from using the Impulse 4000? If so, what are they?

You might experience a little grogginess (just like after a deep tissue massage) the next morning after a session if you don't drink enough water. The Impulse 4000 helps the cells and body detoxify. Headaches can occur if the head is not treated gradually enough or dehydration is present.

What can I expect to experience when I have an Impulse 4000 treatment?

Expect to spend a period of time sitting or laying quietly while the Impulse 4000 does its work. Some people experience a slight "tingling" while undertaking treatment, though this is never painful or uncomfortable.

How long does a typical session take?

Session time will be determined by your condition when you present yourself for treatment.
Fopr your initial session, allocate around 1 hour complete a health history questionaire, confer with your practitioner, and undertake your treatment.

In subsequent sessions - the duration of your session will be dependent on the treatment regime discussed with your practitioner, however as a guide allocate around 30-45 minutes for your session.

Do I need to undress to undertake a treatment?

No. The treatments can be done through clothes, gypsum, bandages etc. - all of which do not obstruct the magnetic field.

The body generates its own electricity?

It is long known that there is electricity in our bodies which can be detected using the electrocardiogram (ECG), electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyogram (EMG). The combined effects of electric and magnetic force explain that pulsing electromagnetic fields induce electrical changes on a cellular level within the body and cell metabolism is influenced.

Are there any side effects from PEM Therapy?

This is one of the greatest benefits of PEM therapy: there are no side effects. Sometimes you might feel some tingling due to improved circulation but this is no contraindication. Some people experience a nice warm and comfortable feeling during the therapy session. However, there may be a risk of side-effects if used during pregnancy and we recommend PEM therapy not be used on pregnant women.

Does PEMF influence oxygen levels within cells?

Yes. However this can only be accomplished when the pulsing electromagnetic fields penetrate sufficiently deep within the human body. The electrical influence and increase of the membrane cell potential causes an increase in oxygenation, which in turn increase the supply of nutrients. This results in disposal of waste products from the cells and cell detoxification.

If I can't feel anything happening when I have a treatment, how can I be sure the effects are real and not placebo?

Most scientific clinical studies clearly show that in order to obtain clinical relevant results the minimum pulsing field strength must be at least 3-5 milli Tesla (30 to 50 Gauss). In order to generate piezoelectricity inside bone and cells the field strength must exceed 10 milli Tesla (100 gauss). There are different variations of large and expensive coil systems mounted on arms or beds, but none of these systems is able to generate energies higher than 100 gauss.

Does the PEMF penetrate the whole body?

Yes. The combination of the generated energy level and the speed of change of the pulses guarantee full body penetration, under condition that the minimum amount of energy generated is also sufficient.

I know of other PEMF machines used by alternative health practitioners. What is the benefit of Impulse 4000 over similar PEMF machines?

A isgnificant amoutn of reserach has gone into the development of the Impulse 4000. Rigorous testing was done on PEMF machines which utilise probes, pads and loops. The nature of PMF is best experienced using a "loop" whereby the electromgnetic field is emitted via a closed loop. By using the loop to adminster the EMF the treatment is far superior.

    Which pulse form is best?

All kinds of combination pulse forms have been tried and clinical studies support the use of pure sinusoidal waveform (a continuous, uniform wave with a constant frequency and amplitude) the basic carrier frequency, which is modulated with the pulsing frequencies. This warrants the necessary energy transfer during the pulse time into the body, if combined with sufficient speed of magnetic induction.

What kinds of ions are induced into the body?

Negative ions are induced into the body, allowing the electrical charge of the cells to increase.

Is it best to have a session before or after a fertility transfer?

It is recommended to have a session prior to your fertility transfer.

How much water should I drink prior to my Impulse 4000 session?

We suggest you drink at least 2 glasses of water prior to your session and to consume at least 2-3 litres of water that day to hydrate your body.

How many sessions are needed before one can see a turn around on an illness?

Most people feel better or a noticed improvement after the first session. Depending on the severity of your condition you may need to undertake a series of treatments. We recommend ten sessions to gain a complete impression of how one will respond to an Impulse 4000 sessions.
